The final data retrieval from the ADCP device collecting Diel Vertical Migration (DVM) measurements for Task 2.4 of the project took place on the 2nd of December. The device had remained at sea for 182 days since the previous re-deployment on the 4th of June. Retrieved data will be concatenated with measurements from the last deployment period (Jan. – Jun.) and offer insights into the long-term DVM behaviour observed in the region.
Biological samples were also collected during the day (~400 m) and night (~30-70 m) by means of a pelagic trawl, while a MultiNet plankton sampler was also utilized to collect day and night stratified plankton samples from the sea surface up to a depth of 800 meters.
